Armenia Removes Transit Barriers with Azerbaijan

(MENAFN) Armenia has removed every barrier preventing goods transit to Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan revealed during Monday's parliamentary session on the nation's 2026 budget framework.

The Armenian leader described the decision as a matching response after Baku recently dismantled similar constraints on Armenian shipments, according to a local media outlet.

Pashinyan verified that a wheat consignment from Kazakhstan bound for Armenia will travel by rail through Azerbaijan and Georgia.

The prime minister also declared Armenia's readiness to permit overland cargo movement between Turkey and Azerbaijan through Armenian land.

On Tuesday, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev disclosed that Baku had lifted all barriers on goods transit to Armenia.
